suffering with tight motion

Hi my baby is 20 months old.... she is suffering with hard and tight motion since a month.... she is crying a lot and unbearable pain when she is pooing ..and it's irregular...... when I visited the doc ... he prefered a syrup.... but when we are using syrup she is pooing normal again if we stop the same thing repeats.... suggest me the natural way of curing
