Talking too much

Hi friends,My son is 4 year old .He is started to talking after 2 yr. But now he is talking too much. we are happy with that. Most of the time he is talking himself while playing ,doing activities ,he is talking himself. At school also he is talking shelf .Is it normal at this age?please help.

hi Nagarathna Kamath! how r u! self-talking is common between 3- 5 years of age. this is the way by which children enter into their imaginary world and make sense of the things around them. infact children who talk to themselves are smarter and intelligent. they have a better hold of language. please do not demotivate him when he talks to self. it will gradually decrease as he grows . hope this will be of help to u!
