Talking with soft toys is normal?

1 to 3 years

Hi... My daughter is 2. 5 years old.. She collects all her soft toys and keep on talking with them for an hour or so... She imitates herself as mother and her toys as kids... And take care of them... She even collect some candies or lemons and keeps on talking ... I wonder it is normal or not... Otherwise she is active in understanding, explaining, helping... In almost everything... But shy in nature..

hi Ritika Malik ! it's aboslutely normal. some children love to indulge in solitary pretend play.. this expands their thinking, helps in cognitive, language and emotional development. here is a blog,u would find useful! https://www.parentune.com/parent-blog/pretend-play-does-your-child-indulge-in-it/2996?ptref=sa0l000030g02b8

Hi Ritika Malik I don't find anything wrong with this behaviour dear. Its part of their development and completely normal. Hadn't we played with dolls in our childhood? Just relax and enjoy this phase. Even u also be part of her game, it will surely give her more pleasure and confidence.
