teaching toddler 3 languages

I speak three languages with my daughter i. e english, kannada and tamil. i repeat the sentence in all the three languages whenever i converse with her. will that confuse my child? if yes, how can i teach her three languages ?

Hi Kritika, Multilingual children take a little more time to speak but once they pick up, they will be fluent in all the languages. In fact what you are doing is the perfect way to teach language. You are doing just great. Keep at it. Probably you can ask your husband to speak in one of the languages and you can alternate between the other 2(your mother tongue and one more) so it's easier for you and your child..

hi kruthika, kids are born with a gift of learning upto 10 languages until the age of 5. So why not use this god's gift in a positive way? speaking in all the languages at the same time might confuse a kid. like everyone suggested, you can talk in 2 languages and your hubby in a different language. That's what we do, I talk in Kannada with my son, my hubby in Tamil and he is anyways picking up English at
