Hey Ruchi, you could use your index finger to clean his teeth. You will also get soft toothbrushes for 1 year old's. Starting off by using a toothbrush and a fluoride free toothpaste (toothpaste for children) is a good way to get your child used to the habit of brushing his teeth. You may start the process slowly and see how he takes to it. Most of the time they are not bothered and love chewing on the toothbrush :)

For your precious little one year old, you get finger brushes which can be worn over the index finger and you can brush the teeth. As the child at this age cannot spit out it may not be necessary to use tooth paste as he or she would just swallow it. since the child has four teeth already it is a good idea to start him off with the habit of brushing. you can also use fluoride free toothpastes. Anurima has mentioned that rightly in her advice to you.

Hi Ruchi ! To add on yo what other pro parents have mentioned u can use finger brushes, or soft brushes available in market. These brushes have small heads, long handles and soft bristles. N after 6 months u can use fluoride free toothpastes n even fluoride toothpaste a small drop as it won't harm the child. Even if the child ingests it shd not be harmful as the amount is too small.
