my 2 yrs old daughter she is very much habitual of thumb sucking nd not eating any thing .what i have to do to remove this habit of thumb sucking .

Hello Mrs Janani Gopal.. I am facing the same problem.. my daughter turned 2 last month and still she sucks her thumb.. Please mention the name of the nail polish that your doctor suggested for ur child.

totally agree with janani, thumb sucking can lead to mal alignment of your child upper front teeth. so it should be treated as soon you can.

Hi.. It's best to make a visit to the doctor.. My daughter had issues with thumb sucking until she was 1. Then her pediatrician suggested a nail polish which is very bitter and specially made for thumb sucking kids.. For sure your child will cry a lot because she isn't able to suck her thumb and that the medicine is bitter.. But it's worth.. My daughter cried for a whole night.. But from the next day onwards she thought if she kept her thumb in her mouth it would be bitter and so she avoided it.. As it is she forgot about it.. It's better to stop thumb sucking asap because it might affect your child's teething.

hi shabnam, give him fingure foods when she puts her thumb in mouth. usually kids do that , it will take some time but keep trying.
