thyroid and breastfeeding

hello frnds... my daughter is 4 mnths old and m breastfeeding her frm day 1 i got thyroid in pregnancy m taking medicine for the same is it safe to breastfeed my daughter??

I am too having thyroid in pregnancy my son is 19 months old.. n not having thyroid .. still taking medication daily as well as breastfeeding so there is no problem. .but do ur thyroid chk every one n a half month...

Nisha.... it's safe... no harm to ur baby if you have thyroid... but doctors usually suggest to take a thyroid test for ur baby too since you have... if tats normal tats ok... keep on take thyroid tests & medicine regularly to track ur level... there may be a chance of attaining normal & discontinuing medicine.... take care
