hi Sowmya! some children are just not okay with the idea of using toilets at places other than home. the reasons behind these could vary from one child to another such as they fear that they will fall down in it or it's the smell which keeps them away. my girl also doesn't use washroom at any place other than home for the fear of being locked inside, as it happened with her once. I know of another child who doesnt use toilets for the fear of lizards.. please try and find out the reason for avoiding it by talking to the child politely. since he has developed fear over a period of time , he won't overcome it in a day and it might take time. worl on his fears by first and foremost accept this he is fearful of using washroom in the school. secondly try to find out ways to help him out ,say sending another child with him who could stand outside. or sending him during break time when many kids would be there. gradually he would get confident and overcome his fear. hope this helps!

that's because he is enjoying the attention given to him due to this issue. avoid enquiring about it everyday by saying , "did u use washroom today?" the more nagging is done regarding the same, or more he is given attention due to this , the more he would make it a point he doesnt use it. just ignore when he talks about it. when he would see there is no more fun in this , he might even use it . hope this helps!
