put clove oil on the tooth, it will give immediate relief from pain. and your dentist will be the correct person to decide whether her tooth requires root canal or extraction. don't worry at all as these process will be under anesthesia and only thing required is child and yours Patience. But don't delay as tooth pain is worse pain.

preeti as your daughter is only 2 hence Dr also know baby will not cooperate as its a bit lengthy process . hence going through generate anaesthesia will be better option. as for local baby will have to go needle pain she can became apprehensive. just start counselling your daughter before the procedure date so that she will also be prepared. tell her y she need to go through it. don't discuss abt pain until she asks else she won't get ready for RCT. although there won't be any pain under general anaesthesia.

preeti, giving General anaesthesia to a child will be like adult also takes paracetamol and a child too but the dose is different same is here dose will be different for child. and yes GA is given to babies. its a medical process which has to be carried out if it's needed as per any patients need. as a parent you should consult a good pedodontic and anaesthetic Dr. Be sure about the hospital and about the Doctors. get all your doubts cleared before you take a final decision. after all when u will be convinced then only u can agree ur daughter to accept the treatment. Google about the GA given to children then u will get more idea i guess and u can ask questions to the Dr.
