Using breastpump..

Hi my daughter is 2 mnths old. N I am an Asthetician n studying. I had heard about a breastpump. Will that b usefull if i want to go out for some work? Please Help!!

Vidhi Joshi - One could get these at medical stores, hospitals. Most of them are almost similar in features, but i would suggest you to look at the one with the motor.

i have used it too. but i have used the manual one(chiocoo) and not one with the motor. the manual one is difficult to use as you have to continuously pump with ur hand. i dont know about the motor one though. but breast pumps are otherwise safe for u n the baby. so dont worry!

Its totally safe and useful to use a breast pump. All you need to be careful about is setting a routine with it. The electric ones are much faster than the manual one. If you plan on breastfeeding for more than 6 months and plan on having more kids, then invest in a good pump. Medela pump in style advance is really good. 10-15 mins and you are done. But yes, it is also extra amount of work as you need to wash all the parts and bottles every time you use the pump.
