my boy gets violent ...hits his cousin harshly at times... how should I handle this? his cousins parents are harsh on him... they scold him very badly and expect us to hit him at the same time.. it's tough situation... I have tried being hard and we'll as thought him with love... how do I teach him??

Whatever happens donot hit your child as it will only reinforce the idea in his head that hitting is acceptable. Be firm and tell him that hitting is absolutely not acceptable and there will be consequences. Punishments could be taking away some privieleges for some time. Also does he hit other children or only his cousin?
