Hi Anita, no dont be panic. accoding to average age and weight 5 month baby should be around 7 kg and it is said that by the time baby reach 6 month they should double their birth weight . Your baby's birth weight was arond 3 kg so at 5 th month he needs to be around 5- 5. 5 kg. Your baby weight is little more. but 1-2 kg less or more doesnot matters if he is active and had no health issues. Anyways once ask your doctor also as he can suggest you best by visualising and evaluating.

Dear Moms.. I would request all to help fellow mothers and not panic them by wrong advice/opinions.. The weight of your lo is perfectly ok for 5 months.. As long his pee poop count is ok, he is active, consistently gaining weight and not cranky baby is fine.. So don't worry at all.. Your ped will give his percentile growth as well.. Check with your ped in your next visit.. Good luck and happy motherhood..
