instead of giving water, feed ur baby frequently so that baby vl not b thirsty. And is not advisable to give water to infants below 6months bcos in breast feed the baby gets enough amount of water.

when baby is exclusively on breastfeeding,it's better to avoid giving water as water lowers the natural sodium levels in the body. once u start giving solids then u can start giving water. This was suggested by a pediatrician.

no need to give water untill 6 months.. if you are feeding enough then water requirement of the baby will be fulfilled after 6 months too. give water only if it necessary, its not compulsory

no need to give water. mothers milk has all contents. if u give additional water, then her intake of milk get reduced. so no need to give separately

as a doctor am advising my patients to stick on exclusive breastfeeding before 6 months.. the reasons are ...maximum developments including brain development occurs during this stage. any food rather than bm will reduce the level of nutrients needed for development,n it will affect the immunity of the child too.. water intake will reduce the sodium level leafing to hyponatraemia.. even in hot temperature bm is sufficient, just watch the urine output of the child,if he passes more than 8 times per day,he s getting enough water from bm,mother should drink more water during feeding period
