hi Pawanpreet Singh , you can start semi solid food for your baby once she is 6 months old. but do not reduce breastfeed. you can start with rice water ( you can cook rice in open pan without salt and take out some water to feed to your baby) then dal water. follow 3 days rule. eg.. when you introduce new good to baby then give it continuously for 3 days atleast once a day and observe changes in baby. this will give you an idea of baby is able to digest new food well or has some allergies. once she can digest cooked water then you can cook dal-rice together n feed. also you can give ragi kheer to her. to make it quick, you can make ready poddrige powder at home- wash and dry moong dal and rice. then roast it in hot pan. once it becomes well roasted you can mixer it to make it powdered. whether you want to feed your baby then you can cook this powder and give it to your baby. do not use salt or sugar on baby food before she is one year old.

Pawanpreet Singh , ragi powder recipe is little time consuming but worth every bit of it as it is packed with nutrients which your baby needs. it is also easy to digest for 6-7 months old baby. it is better if you sprout ragi before making powder. recipe is as follows. 1. take whole ragi (half kg) and clean it for any agricultural traces. 2. add double amount of water and let it sit for whole day 3. wash the soaked ragi in the evening and tie it in a cotton cloth. keep it overnight in warm and dry place to sprout. 4. you will have sprouted ragi in the morning. let ragi dry in sun light. 5. once dried then roast it in pan till it is completely dry. 6. grind in a flour mill. or if you have high power mixer then grind it to fine powder and sieve it. sometimes mixer cannot grind its cover to fine powder so it's better if you use flour mill. keep this powder in airtight container. use spoonful of it to make kheer for your baby. you can also as dryfruit powder in this Kheer. sometimes you can make kheer with water and sometimes in milk to change taste for baby. it is quick and tasty.

not required to take out out brown covering of ragi. please keep that. will not seperate once you make a powder in flour mill. to make ragi kheer, you can boil it in either milk or water. add dryfruit powder. sometimes add dates puree. sometimes mash cooled kheer with banana or sweet potato to make it little sweet. babies do not get bored with these variations and they love it every time.
