Hi Silvia, it is advised to give cow milk only after 1 year of age. Exclusively breastfeed your baby for 6 months and the you may introduce formula milk.

Mother's milk is the best milk for your baby till 6 months of age. after that you could introduce formula milk till your baby is one year old. cows milk could be heavy for the baby to digest in the first year. if due to some reasons you are not able to breastfeed your child, you could give formula milk.

Helo Silvia best milk for baby is always breastmilk. You can give breastmilk for minimum two years. No milk can replace breastmilk for babies. But because of any reasons you want to opt for any other milk means you can give your baby. Whatever milk you are giving for your baby please check for allergies. For some babies cow milk will be okay but not powder milk and vice versa. You can give which suits to your baby. Formula will be even better option. Breastmilk contains 40%fat and 60%water which is easy for babies to digest whereas in cow's milk it is 60%fat and 40%water which is very much difficult for the baby to digest.
