Hi, I'm a mother of a 9 months old daughter. I have been giving her pureed food like porridge, khichdi, upma for quite sometime now. But now she doesn't relish these and refuses to eat. (she's teething as well). I would like any suggestions as to what new I can give her that she might like. Also I want to introduce eggs into her diet but don't know how to do as she refuses boiled eggs and half fry are not that easy to feed

Hi Esha, since your daughter has started teething her eating pattern & preference would change. Now granular texture is preferred over plain pureed stuff. You can also start giving her tiny bites of chapatti, or rice. Try a thin of slice of fruit like peeled apple, holding the slice in your hand lest she swallows it. You can start other firm foods like biscuits, breadstick, cracker like this. Eggs can be started by 9 months. Start with egg yolks in the soup or with mashed potato, as egg nog or in her upma and khichdi. Then as she approaches one year you can start with whole egg. Hope it helps

Hi Esha, my baby, when she started teething, was very finicky. I tried giving her foods that were according to what she liked. I know its hard but I made milkshakes with probiotic powders and also made fruit "kebabs" - small pieces of fruits on a stick. I have her a lot of ice cream candies and mango jollies to have. Slowly she got bored of it and started having soups, oats, ragi and khichdi.

My Daughter is starting 9 months. She doesn't eat anything sweet. I am giving her idli with milk and raggi with little salt. She is now getting bored of eating and spilts all out. I spend 1 hour to give that half idly... is there any other tasty foods which i can offer

Hi Shivaprabha, you can make kheer and chill it in fridge and give it to you daughter. They like cold food items. You can also make chicken stock if you're non veg or vegetable stock if you're veg and give them. Then you can also add powdered oats to the stock and give them as a soup. Remember to flavour the stock well she'll enjoy it. Also you can make upma with few veggies. Hope she'll like one of these.
