Saro if your baby's weight gain is fine following the feeding schedule of maintaining a gap of 3 to 4 hours, please continue with it. However, with newborn babies or very small or low birth weight babies it's advisable to feed on demand and as they pick up weight, gradually shift to maintaining a gap of 3-4 hours. What's the age of your baby Saro ? And is the weight within prescribed limits?

Saro In the first few weeks of life, breastfeeding should be "on demand" (when your baby is hungry), which is about every 1-1/2 to 3 hours. As newborns get older, they'll nurse less often, and may have a more predictable schedule. Some might feed every 90 minutes, whereas others might go 2–3 hours between feedings.

hi Saro It is necessary to give breastfeeding to the child every 2 to 2. 5 hours, but as the children grow up a little, they have more sleep and you give feed to them only on their demand. Along with this, take care of your food and drink. But if the child has slept for a long time, then at that time you must wake up the child and feed him.

scheduled breastfeeding is best option. because baby's don't know the limits and sometimes they take overfeed. which is not good. If your milk supply is good then it is best if not then you can checkout Dexolac Stage 1 formula milk. My sil's baby used to take formula feed also as her breast milk supply is too low and most of the time she feed this night time. It has FOS which is good for their gut health.
