Hello friends, I m proud mom of 2. 5 yrs old doll. I am a software engineer from pune. Before delivery I was working in an reputed MNC. I use to love my work and enjoying it fullest. After my baby is born I took break from work and now it almost 2. 5 yrs of break. I want to work again. The problem is I don't have any other option but to put her in daycare.   Please suggest me whether it will be ok for her? Also she is v fussy eater. I am worried whether she will eat there properly or not. Also will there be emotional setback to her staying away from home and parents.     Please advice also share your expirence of putting child in daycare.   Thanks in advance.

Hi Apurva Kulkarni - These are early years of exploration, wonder and learning for your child, so it is important to let her explore the realm of things outside her comfort area, of her home. Also, at her age, preschool plus daycare would be a better idea rather than just daycare. You may want to look at a daycare closer to either your office or from your husband's workplace, so that you could reach in case a need be. On the fussy eating bit, you could always pack a sumptuous tiffin with food of her liking. All the best!

Hi Apurva - At this age definitely baby feels it difficult to adjust in day care , and they will take a month or 2 month to get adjust in daycare but after that they will enjoy their. I am in Gurgaon and having baby girl of 2. 5 years , for her also it is difficult to move from grand mother's arms to totally new environment with new children's madam's , so in initial days , my mother in law spend 2 hours a day then 4 hours then 8 hours and then after 3 days she is all alone with other kids after 2 weeks she is use too with that environment and enjoy also , eat day care food only with kids.

Thank Nishita for sharing your experience. I will try by starting 2 hours initially. Based on that experience will decide to increase hours.
