writing skills

How will I make my son write. His writing skills is very poor. He site's with me to do the home work only for 10 minutes and that is not enough time to complete his work. please advice he is 3. 5 yrs now.

pls be patient writting is a tough job for kids give him a slate and chock and let him play and learn. initially make big shapes help him to re draw the shapes ( just play ) then gradually make types of lines slowly he will learn the hand and finger movement and get control over writting playing will make writing an interesting job pls don't pressurise the kid to write it will come slowly

Children below 4 years of age generally shy away from writing. this is mainly due to their not so developed mortar skills at this age. we need to be patient and give them small to very small sections to write. its a very tender age and inducing the child to write more may lead to bad writing techniques and also causes their fingers and hands to ache. i will suggest make your child perform activities that would improve his mortar skills including thick crayons colouring, free hand drawing with twists turns and curves.. this helps the child to gain better control over the head and finger movements and helps in developing and preparing them for writing.
