7 Easy Peasy Cranberry Recipes For Your Little Berry Lover

Berries! I am sure just the word is enough to remind you about strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and how these berries are a great source of Vitamin C, provide fiber and many more amazing nutrients.However, there is one berry which isn’t really paid heed to and that berry is none other than cranberry, since not many know about its health benefits.Cranberries, to be precise are loaded with antioxidants and contain only four grams of natural sugar per cup.So what are you waiting for ? It is time to add cranberries to your little one's diet.

Here are some quick and amazing recipes which you can prepare for your little one.
1) Oats Cranberry Balls

Ingredients

  1. 1Cup rolled oats
  2. 2 tbsp unsweetened desiccated coconut/dried coconut flakes
  3. 1 Tsp vanilla essence
  4. ½ cup dried cranberries
  5. 2 Tbsp chopped almonds
  6. 2 Tbsp raw honey
  7. 1 Tbsp unsweetened choco chips
  8. Pinch of rock salt
  9. 2 Tbsp powdered jaggery
  10. Pinch of rock salt

Method:

  1. Lightly roast the oats and set it aside.
  2. Now in a bowl add all the ingredients and make small balls out of the mixture.
  3. Lightly grease a butter paper and place the balls on it.
  4. Place the balls in the fridge till firm.

2) Pear and cranberry granola bowl

Ingredients

  1. 2 ripe Pears,finely chopped (you can use apples if you do not find pears)
  2. ½ cup fresh cranberries
  3. ½ cup roasted oats
  4. 1 Tbsp chopped walnuts
  5. 1 Tbsp chopped almonds
  6. ½ tbsp raisins
  7. 1/4th tsp cinnamon powder
  8. ½ Cup greek yogurt or hung curd
  9. 2 Tbsp honey

Method:

  1. In a bowl mix together pears,cranberries,honey and cinnamon powder.
  2. Now add in the greek yogurt and the dried fruits.
  3. Top it up with roasted oats and mix well.
  4. You can also use a nut milk instead of greek yogurt if you like.

3) Cranberry Protein Bars

Ingredients

  1. 2 ½ Cup  pitted soft dates or about 300gms
  2. ½  Cup dried cranberries
  3. 1 Cup roasted almonds (unsalted)
  4. 3/4th cup rolled oats
  5. 1 Tbsp honey
  6. 1/4th tsp cinnamon powder
  7. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  8. ½ cup chopped walnuts
  9. Pinch of rock salt

  1. Make sure you select dates which are soft and seedless.
  2. In a blender puree dates,cinnamon powder,vanilla essence,salt and honey.
  3. In another blender,powder the roasted oats,along with almonds.
  4. Add the oats powder to the dates mixture and puree well.
  5. Grease a butter paper,keep it on a plate and place the mixture in it.
  6. Add in the dried cranberries and chopped walnuts.
  7. Roll out the mixture and cut them out in to rectangular pieces.

4. Cranberry Yogurt

Ingredients

  1. ½ Cup fresh cranberries
  2. 1 Kiwi ,chopped
  3. 2 Tbsp chopped grapes
  4. 4-5 chopped strawberries
  5. 1 Cup greek yogurt
  6. 1 Tbsp honey
  7. 1 Tbsp chopped nuts (almonds,walnuts,cashews)
  8. 1 Tbsp Muesli

Method:

  1. Beat the yogurt well.
  2. Add rest of the ingredients to it and mix well.
  3. Serve fresh

5. Cucumber Cranberry Logs

Ingredients

  1. 4 Cucumbers,cleaned and desseded
  2. ½ cup peanut butter
  3. 1/4th cup dried cranberries

Method:

  1. Deseed the cucumber and apply peanut butter on it.
  2. Now sprinkle dried cranberries and it is ready to serve.

6. Fruity Cranberry Smoothie

Ingredients

  1. ½  cup pineapple chunks
  2. 1/4th cup fresh cranberries
  3. 1 Tbsp dried cranberries for garnish
  4. 1 Cup greek yogurt/ hung curd
  5. 1 Cup banana

Method:

  1. In a blender blend all the ingredients together and pour it in to a glass.
  2. It is ready to serve.
