My baby was scared of a haircut! What did I do?

I remember Jerry on his first day in the saloon. How can I forget that day! The whining began the moment we stepped in and as I put him on the barber’s chair – all hell broke loose! We tried everything to calm him – his favourite video on YouTube, his toy and the kind saloon staff even broke into a jig just to pacify him, but nothing helped! Unable to bear the incessant cries, I requested the barber to stop, paid the money and just left in a rush. End result: I had a boy with hair so long that I had to use hair clips to keep it off his eyes and face. On one of our evening walks, a nice lady said what a cute girl he was… So that night, I steeled myself and tried cutting his hair myself, almost strand by strand. I must have spent a couple of hours that night trying to cut his hair. This was definitely not a sustainable plan. 
 

Next morning, I told myself “enough”– and had a vent out session with a friend who listened to me patiently as I narrated my tale of woe, at the end of it – she retired to her room and returned with the device and introduced it to me as the Havells baby hair clipper; she was amazed that I had gone through so much trouble when there was a ready child-friendly solution at hand!
