Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Total Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup finger millet flour

  • 1 cup fine semolina

  • 200g. oats

  • 1 cup yogurt

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tablespoon oil

Number of Servings: 12-15 small dhoklas

Recommended Serving for 14-month-old Child: 1-2 small dhoklas, cut into quarters/halves

Method:

Step 1: Combine the millet flour, semolina, oats, yogurt and a little salt in a large mixing bowl. Add a little water at a time to make a thick batter. Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes.

Step 2: Grease small containers. Add baking powder to batter and mix well.

Step 3: Pour the batter into the greased containers.

Step 4: Steam on high heat for about 10 minutes until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
