Enough is enough: Tips to reduce screen time for your child

Present generation is a tech savvy generation, we all know that but do you know that the excess of the gadgets to which your child is most of the time is plugged in makes him or her addicted. And addiction of any sorts is not good.
I strongly believe our attitude towards life makes them addictive towards gadget and TV.
As in most of the houses when your child is at home it has been noticed that fathers must be on laptop or office call and mothers would be busy in household chores. This attitude of yours and environment basically forces your child to rely on TV or mobiles. For your child you are physically present but not mentally.
Only if we do little management with our work life and personal life we can easily reduce screen and gadget time for children.
Gagdets addicted children may suffer these symptoms:
1. Anti-social and poor social skill
2. Unstable moods
3. Stubborn
4. Sleep disorders.
5. Poor Understanding.
6. Low self-esteem
I would like to share some following tips which may help your child to use when only needed.
2.Tech blackouts : Set an example for your child, parents should not use any gadgets like cell phones, laptop, I pad etc .keep aside all these and use your free time with a child doing the cooking, reading, playing games, art or anything creative or social.
3. Tech Hours: I would say we can reduce the gadget time by setting the time limits for its uses.
4. Alternatives to gadget: Tell them about nature and share your childhood experiences with your child when you play outside and experienced beautiful nature.
5.Adopting Extra-Curricular Activities: Encourage your child to go camping, encourage them to adopt any sports of their interest, art activities classes and much more, this keep them away from gadgets and these extra-curricular activities make them physically and mentally strong always.
