In some ways, getting sick when you're a kid is simply part of the job description. We all enter this world with budding immune systems. But there are healthy habits you can adopt to give your child's immune system a boost.

As a mom, here are some steps I take to try and help reduce my daughter's sick days:

1. Getting my child to eat five servings of fruits and veggies a day

2. Making sure she gets adequate sleep

3. Using tried and tested kitchen remedies to boost her immunity, like Haldi wala doodh or kadhas made with herbs & spices. Curcumin, a compound found in turmeric roots, is the gold standard. It has anti-inflammatory & anti-allergic properties backed by science.

We make hygiene a habit by following simple protocols like hand washing, good oral care, etc.

What do you do to keep your kid's health in check? Do share it in the comments below Would love to know.
