Recipe: Sweet Bajra (12 months - 18 months)

Bajra or pearl millet is a highly nutritious grain and this recipe is a wonderful way of introducing it to your little munchkin. It is packed with micronutrients like B vitamins, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc, which aid in their overall development. It also helps to support their bone development and healthy weight gain.
Preparation Time: 10-12 hours (including soaking time)
Ingredients:

Bajra 40 g.

Milk 100 ml.

Jaggery 25 g.

Water 100 ml.

Ghee/Oil 5 ml.
Number of Servings: 1-2
Recommended Serving Size: 1/2 cup (approximately 100-150g)

Method:
Step 1: Clean bajra. Sprinkle water on it and keep overnight.
Step 2: Wash and remove husk.
Step 3: Roast in ghee/oil for a few minutes.
Step 4: Add milk and water and cook till it becomes soft.
Step 5: Add jaggery and remove from fire.
