Top 5 Bathroom Accessories/Toys For Your Toddler

As a child I always found the daily bath routine and hygiene chores monotonous. It was so unappealing for me especially over weekends. This interesting blog let me explore and select the top 5 bathroom accessories and/or toys for a 0-2 year old.
A bath tub
Your toddler can fit in a small bath tub, given their small body size. You can keep the tub in a corner either inside the bathroom or somewhere outside may be in the store. Once or twice in a week you can plan a tub bath. There are branded baby shower gels available, which you can use. This way your toddler becomes familiar with the idea of staying neck deep in water. In fact it turns out to be a mini pool for them. Do ensure that the tub is clean before you fill water and after the bath, wipe the tub dry before putting it away – just for hygiene reasons.
Balls and paddling toys
Balls are fun for toddlers and older children alike. Every time the ball hits the water, there is a splash and as your child tries to catch the floating ball, he/she will feel amused. It teaches them focus as the ball keeps continuously moving. You can also put paddling toys for play like a duck, a small boat, fish and others. These are generally non battery operated and when they move, they look so real. Their hand eye coordination gets better. This also improves the child’s general knowledge on water objects and animals.
Potty seat
I know, reading this in a blog can be irritating, but potty training your toddler as early as possible is your only respite from poop and pee commitments. This small seat which fits on our regular commode helps your toddler develop the habit of using the washroom, the way you do. Gradually it will help you to do away with diapers also. It would be such a relief if the child starts indicating when he/she wants to use the toilet.
Waterproof books
You get these books online and even in shops. Reading can be fun even while you bath your child. This will enhance his/her love for reading. I found it to be an interesting diversion from the regular bath toys available.
Suction bath toys
Suction bath toys stick to the walls of the bathroom or the sides of a bath tub. This will help your child make patterns using them and allows them to be creative. You get objects and animals in many different shapes and sizes; I must say you will be spoilt for choice. With the above and many other options available in the market you can make bath time fun for you and your child. During summers some extended time in water is a good idea!!
