Deepika & Ranveer’s Baby Girl Gets Her First Nickname from Mausi Anisha

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are over the moon with their baby girl, Dua Padukone Singh. Recently, the couple shared adorable glimpses of their daughter during Diwali celebrations. Dua was dressed in a red dress, and the family looked joyful and happy.

The couple has been very private about their daughter. Even in these limited glimpses, Dua’s little expressions, tiny hands, and sparkling eyes melted everyone’s hearts.

Apart from Dua’s glimpses, there is one special moment that caught everyone’s attention. It was when Deepika’s sister, Anisha Padukone, gave her a cute nickname.

Anisha lovingly called Dua Tingu, which means my little one. She shared this special name on social media, writing, “This little piece of my heart, my Tingu.” The nickname shows how much Anisha adores her baby niece.

Dua - The Prayer

Dua was born in November 2022. The couple has often spoken about how much they were looking forward to becoming parents and how Dua has changed their lives. Though her birth was a private family affair,  the couple often shared their excitement through subtle posts on social media.

The name Dua is very meaningful. In Arabic, it means prayer or blessing. Deepika and Ranveer have said that Dua is their little blessing and that they feel all their prayers were answered when she was born. Every time they look at her, they feel grateful.

A Look Back at Deepika & Ranveer’s Journey

Deepika and Ranveer first met on the sets of their film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. They got engaged in October 2018 and tied the knot in a grand wedding in November 2018 in Lake Como, Italy.

The couple has continued to inspire many with their loving personalities and it’s clear that Dua is surrounded by too much love around her. From her parents to Mausi Anisha, everyone is excited to have Dua around them.
