Farmer’s Daughter Becomes Doctor under Jan Dhan Yojna, Writes Letter To PM Modi

A simple farmer from a small village never thought he would one day call his daughter a doctor. A farmer, who spent his days working under the sun, had the wish to see his daughter get a good education. He wanted her to live a life beyond the fields.
With small savings and the help of Jan Dhan Yojana, that dream became reality. Recently, the proud father wrote a heartfelt letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, starting with the words, “Dil se bahut bahut dhanyavaad.”
A Father’s Dream
Like every parent, the farmer wanted his children to study. But life in the village was hard. Farming gave just enough to survive, sometimes not even that. He could barely manage the school fees.
His daughter was determined and wanted to be a doctor. They had dreams but could not see a path to fulfil them until they heard about Jan Dhan Yojna.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is a government scheme launched in 2014. In that scheme, every family in India had to mandatory have access to a bank account, no matter how poor they are.
The farmer opened an account under this scheme. The best thing was, anyone can open a Jan Dhan account with zero balance. The account also comes with a RuPay debit card, insurance cover, and the ability to receive government subsidies directly.
For the first time, he had a safe place to save money. Initially he started saving a few rupees after selling vegetable or grains.
Slowly, he and his wife saved whatever they could. It was not easy, but it was steady. This account became like a small treasure chest for their children’s future.
How Jan Dhan Yojna Helped
Every time a fee was due, the farmer would withdraw from his Jan Dhan account. This was done for every small requirement related to his daughter’s education.
It took nearly a decade of sacrifice and patience. And finally, his daughter wore the white coat. There was a time when she was unsure if she would be able to even do her school. Today, she is a proud doctor.
A Father’s Letter To PM Modi
The father was full of emotion and wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi. He said he was a small farmer from a village and explained how opening a Jan Dhan account years ago helped him save money. Those savings became the support his daughter needed to complete her education.
In the letter, he wrote:“Gareeb ke ghar ki beti doctor banegi, yeh to kabhi socha bhi nahi tha.”
And he ended his letter with heartfelt words:
“Dil se bahut bahut dhanyavaad.”
He asked only that his gratitude reach the Prime Minister, whose scheme had touched his life in such a powerful way.
The farmer’s daughter is proof that poverty does not have to define destiny.
