He Just Wanted More Sweets… But This 11-Year-Old Ended Up Burnt Alive
Published: 18 Apr 2026
A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Basti district. An 11-year-old boy suffered serious burn injuries after he was allegedly thrown into a burning tandoor by a catering worker during a wedding.
The incident took place on April 15 in Malauli Gosai village.
According to police, the boy had attended the wedding with his grandmother. Like many children at such functions, he was moving around the food stalls.
The report says that he repeatedly went to a food stall asking for rasgullas. This made one of the catering workers angry.
Police said the worker first warned the child. But instead of handling the situation calmly, things quickly got worse. The accused allegedly lifted the boy and placed him on a hot tandoor. During the struggle, the child lost his balance and fell into the burning oven.

Incidents like this remind us how important it is to stay calm and ensure children are safe at all times.
