5 Summer Cooler Recipes For Your Child

Children are always on the lookout for something sweet and tasty. In summers your child might be driven towards ice-cream and slushes due to the increasing humidity. But how do you make sure that your child consumes something healthy even during summers? Here are few summer cooler recipes which shall only keep your child hydrated but happy too. Low in calories and bound with nutrients these recipes shall surely win your little ones heart. So get set go 

Summer Cooler Recipes On The Go-

Watermelon Lemon Slush-

What you'll need-

Items

Watermelon

2 cups

Lemon juice

1 Tbsp.

Grated Lemon zest

To taste

Honey

1 Tsp

Rock Salt

A pinch

Mind leaves

Few, chopped

 

Method-

  1. Cut the watermelon and chop it into small pieces, deseed it properly
  2. Freeze the watermelon for about an hour
  3. Now in a blender add the watermelon slices, lemon juice, zest, honey, salt and mint leaves
  4. Blend it well and remove it in a glass of your choice
  5. You add little water if you feel it’s too thick

Peachy Orange Slush-

What you'll need–

Items

Amount

Fresh Orange juice

1 cup

Fresh Peaches

1 cup, chopped

Apple

1 cup, chopped

Orange

1, peeled

Ice cubes

 2-3 

Method-

  1. Add all the ingredients in a blender and blend well
  2. If you do not wish to add ice cubes then use cold orange juice and freeze the fruits which are to be used for preparing the juice
  3. It will give a slushie effect to the recipe
  4. Serve fresh

Grapefruit Pineapple Drink-

What you'll need-

Items

Amount

Grapefruit

2, peeled

Pineapple chunks

2 cups

Lemon juice

1 Tbsp.

Rock Salt

½ Tsp

Pineapple juice

½ Tsp

Brown sugar

1 Tbsp.

Method-

  1. Firstly peel the grapefruit and separate the segment
  2. Now prepare some grapefruit juice using a blender.Strain it
  3. Now in the blender add all the ingredients including grapefruit juice and blend well
  4. Remove it in a glass of your choice and freeze for 20-30minutes

Muskmelon Cooler Shots-

What you'll need-

Items

Amount

Muskmelon

1, cleaned and chopped

Orange juice

1 cup

Honey

1 Tsp

Lemon juice

1 Tsp

Ginger juice

1 Tsp

Rock Salt

To taste

Method-

  1. Firstly clean the muskmelon and chop it into small pieces
  2. Now in a blender add all the ingredients including the chopped muskmelon
  3. You can add 1-2 ice cubes while blending if you like
  4. Serve fresh
  5. Do not strain the juice, since it gives a slushy feel to the recipe

Milk

Chilled water

½ cup

Cardamom powder

½ tsp, crushed

Nuts

½ tsp, crushed

Method-

  1. In a blender blend all the ingredients well and make sure the mixture is smooth
  2. Once done strain the mixture and place it in the refrigerator
  3. Pour the drink into individual glasses and serve chilled
