Bollywood director, choreographer and television personality Farah Khan recently shared one of her most personal and heartfelt moments with the world as she is celebrating the 18th birthday of her triplets: Czar, Diva and Anya.

Farah shared the message with a warm message and a nostalgic video of treasured memories, reflecting her journey of motherhood.

A Special Birthday Message

On February 11, 2026, Farah took to social media to honour her children as they officially became adults. In her touching birthday post, she wrote:

“And just like that… they’re 18. The best inheritance you can leave your kids are happy memories, the best education you can afford, and a little bit of dysfunction… it’s a privilege being your mother.”

This message wasn’t just a birthday wish but a tribute to years of joy, challenges, pride and unconditional love that comes with watching children grow up.

The Journey to Parenthood: IVF and Breaking Barriers

Farah and her husband Shirish Kunder embraced parenthood through in-vitro fertilization (IVF), welcoming their triplets - two daughters and a son in 2008.

At age 43, Farah underwent IVF after facing struggles with natural conception. She has openly spoken about this experience and her pride in becoming a mother through medical assistance. She once jokingly mentioned that “my kids are from IVF and no pizza man delivered them.”

During the IVF process, Farah recalled how her doctor advised reducing the number of fetuses due to medical risk, as carrying triplets at her age was considered complicated. But she chose to carry all three, and today her children are healthy, thriving adults.

Her openness about IVF has helped normalise fertility treatments in India, encouraging other women to consider and embrace assisted reproductive methods without shame or fear.

Balancing Motherhood and a Busy Career

Farah’s IVF journey occurred during a peak phase of her career, around the time she was filming blockbusters like Om Shanti Om. She has discussed the emotional ups and downs of undergoing multiple IVF attempts before finally conceiving the triplets.

Despite her success in film and television, becoming a mother remains one of her proudest personal achievements and Farah proves that.

Parenting Triplets: Strict Yet Loving

Farah has also shared insights into her parenting style over the years. She describes herself as a strict but cool mom, maintaining boundaries while staying closely connected to her children.

She has mentioned that her daughters reportedly have never gone clubbing or worn makeup at a younger age. Family dinners and conversations are a regular part of their lives.

Farah’s parenting philosophy blends discipline with love, keeping her children grounded even as they grew up in the spotlight.

Watching Her Children Become Adults

As the triplets turned 18, they also began new chapters in their lives. And one of them is heading off to college in the United States, where each child has chosen a different academic path.

As Czar, Diva and Anya enter adulthood, Farah Khan’s emotional tribute captures the essence of motherhood and the pride of seeing your children grow up.

Here’s wishing the Czar, Diva and Anya a very happy 18!
