KGF co‑director Kirtan Nadagouda and his wife Samriddhi Patel suffered a tragic loss when their young son, Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda, died in a tragic elevator accident in Hyderabad. This incident has touched many hearts and reminded people how fragile life can be.

What Happened

The accident took place on December 15, 2025, at the family’s residence. Little Sonarsh, who was just four and a half years old, reportedly entered an elevator alone without his parents knowing. Inside the lift, he became trapped and then fell within the elevator mechanism. Rescue efforts began as soon as the situation was discovered, but sadly, the injuries he suffered were too severe and he could not be saved.

Those close to the family described Sonarsh as a lively and cheerful child, full of energy and smiles. His loss has left an empty space in the hearts of his parents and everyone who knew him. Elevator Safety Tips for Families

While this tragedy has brought immense grief, it also highlights an important issue of elevator safety, especially with young children around. Elevators are everyday parts of modern buildings, but they can be dangerous if safety is not carefully considered. Here are some simple and important safety tips for everyone:

  • Always watch children closely: Never let a young child use an elevator alone, even for a moment. Hold their hand and stay with them.
  • Wait for the elevator to fully stop: Before entering or exiting, make sure the elevator is completely level with the floor.
  • No playing around elevators: Children should understand that elevators are not play areas and should avoid running or playing near them.
  • Keep hands and clothing away from doors: Teach kids to stay clear of closing doors and avoid touching or trapping fingers.
  • Know the emergency button: Adults should know where the emergency button or alarm is and how to use it if something goes wrong.

For Kirtan Nadagouda and Samriddhi Patel, the loss of their young son is an unimaginable sorrow. While no words can truly ease their pain, the support from friends, family, and the wider community shows how much love surrounds them.

This tragic incident reminds us all to treasure every moment with our loved ones and to be mindful of safety in everyday places. Life is fragile, and small actions can make a big difference.
