But this does not mean that they love their sons less. It’s just that their way of showing love may be different.

Society often teaches that girls need more protection which makes fathers feel more protective towards their daughters. They want their daughters to be safe and hence they always stand as a shield around them.

Apart from that, there is also a natural emotional connection that develops between a father and a daughter. Also, girls are more expressive about their feelings, which creates that emotional bond.

But these are not fixed rules. Not all boys behave the same way, nor do all girls the same. Some boys are calm and emotional. They may sometimes be more emotional than girls.

Similarly, not all girls are sensitive. Some are strong and bold.

That is why parenting should not depend only on whether the child is a boy or a girl. It should depend on the child’s personality.

Even if fathers feel a soft corner for their daughters, it is very important to give equal love and attention to both children.

Both sons and daughters need the same care and support from parents.  If one child feels less important, it can affect their confidence.

Try not to compare children. Spend equal time with both sons and daughters and encourage them to share their feelings openly. This helps in building emotional strength.
