This 8-Year-Old Can Recite The Entire Periodic Table, But Here’s The Twist
Published: 15 May 2026
Maryam Zukhruf Siddiquah, from Tail Wani village in Anantnag, Kashmir, has brought laurels to the valley by securing her place in the Guinness World Records. The 8-year-old holds the record for the fastest recitation of all 118 elements of the periodic table in just 33.71 seconds.
The record was previously held by Sai Aarush Aswinsidharth from Tamil Nadu, who recited the table in 43 seconds.
Maryam's accomplishment is a result of her dedication, hard work, and intelligence. She not only recited the elements at a record-breaking speed but also arranged all of them into their correct scientific groups simultaneously. Her achievement has earned her global recognition in the Age 16 category.
This is also not Maryam's first extraordinary accomplishment. In June 2025, she was titled an “IBR Achiever” for reciting the names of all 28 states and 8 Union Territories of India in a record time of 19 seconds.
Maryam is currently studying at Delhi Public School in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her parents, Dr. Md Irfanul Haque Siddiqui and Ms. Mahida Manzoor, attributed this achievement to her hard work and the immense guidance offered by her principal, Mr. Mairaj Mohammad Khan.
