What Happened
The baby was born on October 5, 2025. By October 9, her parents noticed that something was wrong with her health, so they admitted her to a private nursing home in Dadri, Greater Noida.
According to her father, Shivam Bhati, a nurse gave the baby an injection in her hand. Soon after, her hand started to swell and it turned red. The baby started crying out of pain. The family says that even after telling the doctors and nurses about it, the hospital staff did not pay much attention and casually handled the situation.
As time passed, the swelling increased, and the infection spread through the baby’s hand. The hospital bandaged it and referred her to another hospital.
Doctors at the next hospital examined and noticed that the infection had become serious. They warned the parents that the baby’s hand might need to be amputated if the infection could not be controlled. The family is shocked and has no clue how to get things corrected.

Family’s Complaint
The parents filed a formal complaint at the Dadri Police Station. They accused the nursing home of negligence and said that the hospital staff’s carelessness caused the situation.
The police have now contacted the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Gautam Buddh Nagar. They have asked the CMO to conduct an investigation into the incident. A committee will review the case and submit a report, which will help the police decide on the next legal steps.
Medical negligence like this is very dangerous, especially for newborns who are very fragile. If it is confirmed that the injection caused the infection, the hospital staff could face legal action.
