Hi My son had a speech delay and he has caught up since 3 years of age. He is 4 now and he is better at speech. Speaks in sentences. However 1. His articulation is poor and he speaks too fast. Strangers sometimes understand and sometimes they can't 2. His maturity seems to be less compared to his peers who developed typically. He seems to not understand a lot of concepts despite giving a lot of exposure. 3. He seems to be too expressive like laughing too loud and jumping at times of fun like birthday parties when his peers are silent and patient. And at times of fear like seeing a santa other kids are reluctant but he is loud and crying. He did have a asd diagnosis but as he developed his doctor had it struck down and he is not hyper and obedient. Are the above said features common in speech delay

She used to say aai, baba, kaka... etc whn she was 1. 2 yrs... but now nothing. Doc suggested for speech therapy, what shud i do, first shud i put her in playgroup or shpeech therapy? As these are no toddlers in my building, she is not familiar to any kids of her age group, this can be the reason of not speaking... please suggest
