Kerala’s Little Miracle: 10-Month-Old Baby Becomes Youngest Organ Donor
Published: 17 Feb 2026
A tiny life ended far too soon, but left a powerful legacy of hope and compassion. At just 10 months old, Aalin Sherin Abraham became the youngest organ donor in the history of Kerala, saving multiple lives through her family’s courageous decision.
A Tragic Accident, A Brave Decision
On February 5, 2026, Aalin was injured in a road accident near Pallam Borma Junction on MC Road in Kottayam district while travelling with her mother and grandparents. Despite urgent medical care and transfers to several hospitals, doctors were forced to declare her brain-dead on February 13 due to severe injuries.
In the middle of their heartbreaking loss, her parents, Arun Abraham and Sherin Ann John, made a brave and kind decision. They chose to donate Aalin’s organs to help other children who needed them. Because of this, Aalin became the youngest organ donor in Kerala’s history.
