Home-made Moisturizers for your baby

You never leave anything behind to ensure the best for our kids make them feel comfortable in every way. With every growing change, the kid's needs are taken care of. Since it is winter, your baby's skin must be dry and itchy and in order to avoid this, the best remedy is none other than the homemade moisturizer(s).
You can buy the best baby moisturizer from the store but the chemicals present in them may bring allergies to some young ones. If your child is a victim of the same or if you want to take precautions before anything such happens, you can go the DIY way.
How To Make Your Homemade Moisturizer for Your Baby?
Make a baby moisturizer by yourself that will ensure nourishment to your child's skin in this dry condition. You just need a few raw materials that are easily found and can use them to make a moisturizer. Below are a few recipes that you can follow to make a baby moisturizer at home.
1. Beeswax Moisturiser
Ingredients To Prepare Beeswax Moisturiser
- 6 Tbsp of beeswax
- 1 cup of olive, coconut or almond oil, you can even combine them and use
- 2 cups of rose water or chamomile tea
- 4 teaspoons of Vitamin E which helps lotion last longer and is effective for very dry skin
- Clean containers for storing the moisturizer
Method To Prepare Beeswax Moisturiser
- Fill a large pan with water and bring it to boil
- In a separate bowl combine the oils, beeswax and 2 cups of your chosen liquid (rose water, tea, etc.)
- Place that bowl in the pan and boil until wax is completely melted
- Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes
- In a blender pour the remaining water and very slowly add the oil mixture and it will begin to congeal with a creamy appearance
- Continue to blend with a spatula and push down the cream on the sides of the blender
- Once done, scoop in to the clean containers and leave it open until cool
- Your moisturizer is ready and you can store in refrigerator overnight
2. Oats And Coconut Oil Moisturiser
Ingredients To Make Oats And Coconut Oil Moisturiser
- 1 cup powdered oats
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
Method To Prepare Oats And Coconut Oil Moisturiser
- Heat the coconut oil in low flame and add powdered oats to it while you stir continuously
- A bit of froth will be formed while the oats dissolve completely in the coconut oil
- Add olive oil to the mixture and stir it continuously and switch off the heat
- Allow it to cool for 10 minutes and pour the moisturizer in a clean dry storage container and store it in a cool dry place
3.Organic Cocoa Butter Moisturiser
Ingredients To Make Organic Cocoa Butter Moisturiser
- 1 cup of organic cocoa butter (you can also use shea or mango butter)
- 3/4 cup of organic coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons of organic beeswax pastilles
- 3 teaspoons of vitamin E oil
- Optional 8-10 drops of a baby safe essential oil, like Lavender essential oil or Roman Chamomile Essential Oil. Do not use essential oils if this lotion is for a baby under 3 months
- Glass jar to store lotion
Method To Prepare Organic Cocoa Butter Moisturiser
- Add water to a pan and set it on medium flame
- While the water is heating, you can add cocoa butter, beeswax and coconut oil in a glass jar
- Place the glass jar inside the pan with boiling water and wait for the ingredients to mix up
- Once the ingredients have melted, add vitamin E oil and stir occasionally
- Mix all the ingredients and store the moisturizer in a clean dry container which is to be stored safely
Method To Prepare Organic Cocoa Butter Moisturiser
1.Add water to a pan and set it on medium flame

3.Place the glass jar inside the pan with boiling water and wait for the ingredients to mix up
4.Once the ingredients have melted, add vitamin E oil and stir occasionally
5.Mix all the ingredients and store the moisturizer in a clean dry container which is to be stored safely
You can make any of these moisturizers for your child which will protect his skin from the dry and harsh climatic conditions. Make sure you apply the moisturizer on your child's skin on a regular basis to prevent any dryness.
