Recently, filmmaker Karan Johar shared one of his experiences after becoming a parent. Karan Johar spoke about a hurtful comment he once received online. Parenting itself is a tedious journey and then getting trolled for it can make it all the more challenging.

A Comment That Left a Mark

A troll said that he “took away a mother” from his children. This comment affected him deeply. He couldn’t get over it easily.

Karan Johar shared that the comment stayed with him for a long time. Even though he knows that social media can be harsh, some words are hard to ignore.

As a parent, hearing something like this can be painful. He admitted that it made him feel hurt and emotional. It also made him think about how people see his choices as a father.

Social media gives people the freedom to speak, but sometimes people forget that their words can hurt someone. It is very important to think before we comment on anything on anybody, especially when it is related to family and children.

His Journey as a Single Father

Karan Johar chose the non-traditional way of becoming a parent. He is a single father to his twins. He became a father through surrogacy.  He chose to become a parent in this way as it allowed him to fulfill his dream of having children while managing his personal and professional life.
