Story behind it

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘Luxury’?

Fancy cars, designer clothes, limited collection accessories, and so on.

But, honestly, luxury nowadays is not just about what you wear, where you live, or what car you travel in. It has become a part of our daily lives.

Be it your water bottle, your phone case, or even pet accessories, whether something is premium or not matters more than whether it is actually useful.

This is clearly reflected in a post that has gained a lot of attention on social media recently, and we couldn’t help but notice.

A strangely believable image of what appears to be Gucci diapers, priced more than ₹46,000 ($490), has been circulating online. The first image, originally posted by celebsimulation shows a baby wearing a diaper with the brand's signature monogram.

The second image shows a premium pack of 7 diapers in a beautiful box with the signature monogram and the third image shows a stack of 7 diapers.

The caption reads,

“Luxury has officially reached a whole new level… and this time, it’s for babies. These Gucci diapers, priced at a shocking $490 per pack, redefine what it means to live a high-end lifestyle from day one. Designed with the iconic monogram pattern and minimalist aesthetic, they look more like a fashion statement than a basic necessity.”

This isn’t the first time a daily essential has been turned into a luxury product, so, honestly,  it doesn't feel completely impossible, does it?

But here’s the truth.

The images are fake and most likely AI generated.

So, no, Gucci is not launching luxury disposable diapers priced at more than 46,000 ($490) for a pack of seven, but if it were, would you want to try these for your baby?

Also, how would you dispose of these diapers? We’re guessing the Balenciaga “Trash Bag” would be perfect for it.
