using nebulizer

my child is suffering from cough from last 2 weeks. i gave her cough syrup(after consulting with doc) for a week but it's still having cough. so can I use nebuliser?

is plain steam effective or shall I use some vicks?

Instead of nebuliser go for steam. Nebuliser requires medicine that has to be prescribed by a doctor.
