My son is having ASD. He stays in a hostel away from us. We usually meet him within two months and bring him home for one month two to three times in a year. At any cost we meet him once two months. Due to corona we are not able to meet him since last four months. Please explain how he will be affected due this long period without meeting parents. We are unable to bring him back as we as well as he are staying in red zone atleast for few more months. He is 27 year old now. How to overcome any effects in regard.

Hi, my son Viraaj is 8 years old and on the autism spectrum. When viraaj gets angry, majoryly because I decline his incessant requests for junk food, he gets agitated and starts hitting us. Lot of his anxieties are around food, particularly sweet items, so all the tantrums start from there only. How do I manage his hitting behavior?

It's a great time to do so many things especially when social distancing is forced on us.. Lucky we ASD community that we don't have to get into socially apt norms and try to fit in there. Mother of 8 year old kid, how can I leverage this time to build core deficits like reading between the lines, getting others perspective and theory of mind. Very less guidance is available outside and looking for a step by step guide. Help 🙏

Hi..my 10 year old autistic son is non-verbal. Teaching him anything new using pictures or social stories is very difficult as he shows no interest in looking at the pictures. Teaching by showing actual physical objects has helped but i don't get any response in the picture method. He addresses his own needs through gestures but teaching a new concept becomes a challenge...how to move forward and increase his comprehension
