Eye contact is a natural and integral part of any social interaction. Since autism is a social communication disorder, children on the autism spectrum often face difficulties in establishing and maintaining eye contact with others. This can impede their overall learning and comprehension of the world around them as well as impact their social communication and interaction. In this video, Dr. Himani Khanna, a Developmental pediatrician shares some handy tips for parents to encourage and build eye contact in their children.
