Recipe: Fish Puree (6 months - 12 months)

Breast milk alone is not enough to meet your little one’s Vitamin D requirement, which is vital for your baby’s brain and bone development. Fish are a great source of essential nutrients including Vitamin D. Introducing it can however be a little tricky as it is one of the most common allergens. This makes it important to consult a specialist before you introduce it to your child’s diet. Also, you need to avoid fish that have high mercury levels and choose those with mild flavours. The best options are salmon, trout and herring. Fish puree is easy to digest and can be made a part of your baby’s balanced meal, however it is important to remove all the bones and skin.
