Life With My Kids - Kicking off With the Series! Part - 1

I grew up in a joint family with grandparents, uncles and aunts all under the same roof. Those were amazing times with beautiful memories of our interactions. Not to mention a bunch of siblings to play with, people to have all kinds of opinions in the same house, and everyone trying their best for the kids. We shared a beautiful bond with siblings, cousins, grandparent, and everyone else around us.

Now I miss those banters, emotional dramas, dinner table tantrums attended by a troupe of elders, and the cushion for everything provided by the grandparents. Gadgets, tablets and mobile phones seem to have replaced the people in the house. So much so, that perhaps google knows more about my day than my kids and dinner times have turned into quick tummy-filling sessions.

Therefore, I am making a few changes here and there. I am spending at least one hour each day with my kids, talking, listening, sharing and knowing their happiness and struggles. And they also get to know how beautiful life is outside of the bright and pretty devices.

Being a mom the second time, I know how fast kids can grow and leave us only with their tiny shoes. This time, I don’t wish to miss the opportunity of being with my kids and live with them in their moments.
