Recipe: Mashed Fresh Fruit (6 months - 12 months)

Whether it is the sweet and mild flavour, the nutritional benefits or the smooth texture, mashed apples make a wonderful first food for the baby and a top choice for parents. Apples are loaded with soluble fibres that make them easy to digest, even for babies with sensitive stomachs. Mashed apple is also a great food choice for managing constipation in babies, which is quite common as they transition from solely breast milk to solid food. Just make sure you wash and peel the apples properly. The cooking time may vary depending on how ripe the apples are.
