As a parent, you strive to give your child the best education. However, not everyone can send their child to an expensive private school. But a decent education system is all it takes for a child to become a successful individual. Isn’t it? The government of India, under the Right to Education (RTE), makes provision for free and compulsory education for children between the age group of 6-14 years. The act came to force on 1 April 2010.

What is RTE?

If you are residing in Madhya Pradesh and would like your child to get admission into school under the RTE, then keep reading! Under the Right of Children for Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, a minimum of 25% of the seats in schools is reserved for students for free education. The idea is to make education accessible and available to all children irrespective of their parent’s income, caste, class, occupation or any kind of disability. Different states have their own RTE admission procedures.
