This incident occurred at a tribal girls’ hostel in Jamtara, Jharkhand. 16 students faced breathing difficulties because of smoke from an electrical short-circuit. Luckily, they received immediate medical attention and were discharged after basic treatment.

What Happened

The short-circuit happened in one of the hostel rooms, and smoke spread quickly. Many students were asleep when it started, and they unknowingly inhaled the smoke. They woke up coughing and struggling to breathe.

The smoke irritated their eyes, throat, and lungs. Luckily, the hostel staff noticed what was happening and acted fast. They moved the students to a safer, well-ventilated area and called for emergency medical help. All 16 students were taken to a nearby hospital and received treatment for smoke inhalation. Thanks to the quick response, everyone recovered without serious complications.

Even though no one was severely injured, this incident shows how dangerous a small electrical problem can become if proper safety measures aren’t in place.
