Story behind it

While most children her age are still figuring out how to colour inside the lines or sing their nursery rhymes, Treesha has already gone ahead and won a National Award. Yes, at just 4 years old!

What Did She Win, and For What?

Treesha won the Best Child Artist award for her performance in the Marathi film Naal 2 at the 71st National Film Awards.

In Naal 2, she played Chimi (Revati). It was about a young child with emotional depth and vulnerability. The story revolves around sibling relationships and rural upbringing. Her role had moments that demanded both innocence and deeper emotion and she delivered.

Her performance earned applause comparable to big stars when she walked onto the stage in her traditional white saree.

The award came with the distinguished Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus), a certificate, and monetary recognition. And it was presented by the President of India.

A Little Girl With Big Talent

Treesha is not very different from other kids. She plays, shows tantrums and make mess of her toys. But there’s one thing that makes her stand out - her spark.

From a very young age, her parents noticed that she was not just playing around. She was different. Whether it was performing or simply expressing herself, there was something special about her. They didn’t miss her activities considering them just as a phase. Instead, they encouraged her to keep going.

And that’s how a simple interest turned into a remarkable achievement.

Treesha’s Journey

Treesha started with small acting roles in Marathi films, web series, advertisements and TV episodes. Her innocence and the ability to capture emotional moments on screen, she was noticed by many filmmakers.

Her Instagram account is handled by her mother.

What Parents Can Learn From Treesha’s Story

As parents, we often wonder - Should I push my child more? Or should I just let them be?

Children often show signs of what excites them. Pay attention to what makes their eyes light up.

  • What is it that they love doing without being told?
  • What activity makes them lose track of time?
  • What small talent of theirs makes you smile in wonder?

Treesha’s parents gave her the confidence to explore without making it feel like a burden. Sometimes, a child just needs someone to believe in them before they believe in themselves.

Childhood and Dreams Go Hand in Hand

The best part about Treesha’s story is that she is still a child first. Even though she has won an award, she’s still just 4!

And isn’t that the beauty of parenting? Helping children chase their dreams, but at the same time letting them enjoy their childhood.

At just 4, Treesha Thosar has shown us what’s possible when talent meets encouragement.

Every child has something special in them. It may not always lead to a national stage, but it will definitely shape who they become.

So, next time your little one hums a tune, doodles on the wall - maybe this is their spark.
