Yeast infections in the vagina and private area are common in teenage girls. In fact, it’s estimated that about 75 percent of all females will get a yeast infection at some point. The infection usually isn’t serious, but can be troubling and result in pain for the teenager. Symptoms often include itching, burning, and a clumpy white discharge.
